Nolan has done his best to forget about Lainey and their too brief fling. When he comes to the realization that he may be willing to give her more to have her in his life, he sets out to win her back.
Lainey was crushed by Nolan’s rejection of her. When they inevitably see each other again, she is ready to show him she doesn’t need him to be happy.
But, attraction isn’t something you can resist forever, and although Nolan has some serious commitment issues and on big secret, Lainey still wants him in her life… but only as friends.
This was a great book! I loved Lainey and Nolan’s sexual tension, how they were able to have a friendship (of sorts!) and how their relationship progresses. There are many great characters in this book, and if you have read the first in the series, you will get a continuation of their life, as well as more of the players on the hockey team. The storyline flowed well, held my interest throughout, and was just a fun and sweet story, with a little conflict that wasn’t overwhelming or the complete focus of the relationship.
I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.
