Cameron has had a hard time going through life after her parents died when she was a teenager. Her motto is ‘everyone always leaves’, and she lives her life expecting just that. So when she meets someone she clicks with completely, she is not surprised when he doesn’t stick around…
Jacob regrets that he had to leave Cameron, he has thought about her in the years since and has always wanted to reconnect with her. Fortunately for him, she is his sisters best friend… and is going to be staying very close to him for the entire summer.
I liked the premise of this story, but the storyline moved too slowly for me and I felt that I was always missing something when a random issue would come up. I did not like Cameron, she jumped to conclusions and made rash decisions constantly. While the supporting characters were more likable, they all just fell a little flat. But, at the core, this was a sweet story and while the reason Jacob had to leave was easily explainable at the time, it was at the end a very sweet and perfect reason for his life to change so drastically.
